Linux/TDA2E: TDA2Ex (23mm) 1GiB(2*512MiB) DDR3 setting

Hi,

First,I want to know how to set the memory map in uboot(lisa map、...ect.) The highlight above is the information about my design.

Second, according to the table down below,that means I can not use ddr3 -1866, right?

Hi Denny,

for the first question you can check this Application Note:
www.ti.com/.../spraca1.pdf

For the second question I can confirm that you can not use DDR at 1866. You can use memory from 1333 to 1600 MT/s if the frequency is between 533MHz and 667MHz(it is the max supported frequency on TDA2Ex).

You mean that I can use DDR-1866 and set the DDR frequency between 533MHz and 667MHz?

Hi Denny,

you can not use DDR-1866 (you can use up to DDR-1600).

I will ping u-boot expert to help with dmm_lisa_map_regs struct.

Hi Denny,
Can you please refer the EMIF configuration tool at www.ti.com/.../litabsmultiplefilelist.tsp ?
This tool will give you the LISA register settings.
