BEAGLEBK: SDK image size for TIDEP0084

Part Number: BEAGLEBK

Hello all,

I am currently working on the following project:

http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiduci9c/tiduci9c.pdf

I am on the following section in the above link and encountered a problem:

3.1.2.1 BeagleBone Black SD Card Program the SD card with the Linux processor SDK image using the following steps:

1. Download the prebuilt TI Linux processor SDK SD card image am335x-evm-linux-xx.xx.xx.xx.img.zip from software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html (where xx.xx.xx.xx is the version number of the latest Linux Processor SDK).

2. To program the micro SD memory card, see the instructions in Processor SDK Linux Creating an SD Card with Windows [4].

When I navigate to the link mentioned in the steps for the required image (For Windows or Linux) it says the image is 16GB big and at least a 16GB microSD card is needed. However, in the guide, it says that the required is to have an 8GB MicroSD card. Am I referring to the wrong image or is it the right one?  Does that mean a bigger MicroSD card is needed as stated and that flashing it to the Beagle Bone Black is not possible and the only possibility is loading it from the SD card?

Please note: I posted this issue on the Beagle Bone help forum , and they told me that indeed atleast 16GB of MicroSD card is needed for the required image , and that it is a mistake from "TI" and I should post it on the TI forum . Thanks a lot.

Neil Mustafa.
