Hello,

I try to run the ICSS_EMAC_BasicExample on the K2GICE from CCS 8.3.1 with the Processor-SDK-RTOS-05.03.00.07 and an XDS200. I created successfully the example projects and can launch them on the system. I installed 4 loopback connectors on the PRU-Ethernet ports. However, I cant get the example to run properly. I get the following output on the console:

Can you give me a hint what I am doing wrong?

Hello,

in order to verify my ethernet loopback connectors, I tried the test on a TMDSICE3359 - on that board the test works fine after moving the two jumpers next to the phys... But unfortunately, I can't get it to work on the K2GICE...

The example is failing on my board as well. I will find out why this is broken....

Bernd,

Do you have second board to try? Not sure if it's a hardware issue. The example works as expected in system test and another board I have.

Hello Garrett,

thanks for your reply - unfortunately, I don't have a second board. Is there another test to check the 4 PRU-Ethernet channels I might try?

Hi Bernd,

Can you try to run the icss emac diag code on your board?

I am using a REV 1.0B, do you order the board from ti.com?

I tried the icss emac diag code and it completes fine:

PRU ICSS Loopback Test Completed!
Finished running icssEmac_TEST, result passed!

I ordered the board on May 15, 2019 from the TI-Store, order-number T00397904.

Bernd,

Good to know the diag code passed. I will order a same board as yours to test it out and create a bug report if the ICSS_EMAC_BasicExample_iceK2G also fails. Hope you are able to move forward without the specific example.

Bernd,

I tested Processor SDK v5.3 on the new ordered board with the same REV E as yours, don't see 'link down' either with both reference clock 24MHz and 25MHz respectively (SW2 pin 2/3 on/off, j3 short/open).

You may check if boot mode switch is setup correctly to 'No Boot/Emulation' mode.
