Compiler/TMDSICE3359: HSR/PRP build issue

Hello,

I've the TMDSICE3359 and I want to implement HSR protocol on it.

To do that, I've download :

- PRU ICSS SW for HSR/PRP v01.00.04.02

- Processor SDK TI RTOS v4.03.00.05

- CCS 7.4.0.00015

I have also target my board and import the HSR project (that I've find in the PRU ICSS SW for HSR/PRP).

Now, when I build this project, there is 13 Errors.

After searching the error, I find an inconsistency in this project.

As you can see in the following PDF, in the fonction void runRxTxTest(ICSSEMAC_Handle emachandle) that we find in the hsr_prp_menu.c, the ethPrioQueue is used as an array.

But, it is define as an Uint8 in the of typedefstruct that we find in the icss_emacDrv.h, as you can see in the PDF. So I don't understant. And this inconsistency bring me an error like that "subscripted value is neither array nor pointer nor vector". Could you help me please to resolve this.

Hi,

You need to apply the patch under PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02\protocols\pdk_patches\04.03.00 to PDK and rebuild the libraries icss_emac and nimu_icss or replace them with the zipped files (icss_emac.zip and nimu_icss.zip) in the same directory.

And the patch is highlighted:

To build the project, ensure the PDK patches if any in [INSTALL-DIR]/protocols/pdk_patches/04.03.00 are applied. This is an required step as there is dependency on baseline Processor SDK.

Hi,

You can follow the readme under PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02\protocols\pdk_patches\04.03.00 to apply patch.

You may need first convert the patch file from Unix to dos:

Download Windows Patch Utility from gnuwin32 sourceforge. ( Note that this is not a TI tool - See licensing information page for more details)
Download Dos2Unix/Unix2Dos-Text file format converters from gnuwin32 sourceforge. ( Note that this is not a TI tool - See licensing information page for more details)
Extract the zip files to the Windows PC. Patch file utility(Patch.exe) and unix2dos.exe utility can be found in their bin folders.
Launch DOS Command prompt ( Start->Run->cmd).
CD to the folder containing the patch file
Execute unix2dos.exe as given below

[Dos2Unix/Unix2Dos-DIR]/bin/unix2dos.exe xyz.patch
