I want to know if we can make the two built-in Ethernet ports into separate, non-switched ports?
Also, if the two ports act as a switch do they support RSTP?
Thanks

Yes, this is called Dual EMAC mode.

I have asked the CPSW experts to comment. They will post here.
DK, follow up question:
I thought there was an issue with the dual EMAC mode where it was using VLAN tags to distinguish between the two ports. Not all devices can support these VLAN tags. Is there a way to filter the VLAN tags before they leave the CPU?
Hi,
That is correct that not all devices can support VLAN tagging and the packets are filtered as you suggest. The rules loaded into the ALE that setup the VLANs to emulate the dual mac configuration are defined so the VLAN tag is stripped on packet egress.
