AM3359: Device availability

Hi All,

we are using this AM3359BZCZA80 in our designs. though recently I noticed that in Digikey, Mouser and Quest Components that 296-35073-ND was 0 qty and discontinued.

I would like to know the road map / plan for this processor and how many years will it be active or supported? TI website shows it is still active, though distributors are saying low qty and being discontinued.

also, can you clarify where did XAM3359ZCZ chip were from? seems to be in the market, though TI website part making only states AM3359BZCZA80

the comments I made here https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/538693?tisearch=e2e-quicksearch&keymatch=longevity are valid for AM3359.

all AM335x are part of the same family and thousands of customers are using them.

I can not comment on the decisions distributors take, but I see there are 1,846 units available via distributors as well as 2,223 units available via TI store, what is normal level for these devices.

we do not discuss roadmap in public forums, you can contact our local rep for that type of discussion.

Now, about XAM3359ZCZ it is the code for pre-production material.
