PROCESSOR-SDK-DRA8X: Unable to build Arago 6.00.00 SDK Filesystem

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-DRA8X

I'm trying to build the SDK filesystem per instructions here:  http://swubn03.india.ti.com/publish/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AUTOMOTIVE/06_00_00_00/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html

I've gotten to the last build step:

TOOLCHAIN_BASE=$HOME MACHINE=j7-evm bitbake -k arago-core-tisdk-image

At this step I get the following error, I've attached full log as well.

ERROR: quilt-native-0.65-r0 do_fetch: Build of do_fetch failed

SDK_FAIL.doc

My end goal is to run the cockpit demo:

1) Do I need the full SDK or will the target filesystem be sufficient?

2) I have the prebuilt SDK from my vision demo bring up - can I use this to run the cockpit demo?

  • Hi Yining,

unfortunately our Yocto expert is out of office until 9-sep and won't be able to help with build error, but I have looked at the prebuilt rootfs that comes with the SDK and I found that it includes the files needed to run cluster demo (such as /usr/bin/cluster, /usr/share/ti/util-scripts/demo/cockpit-demo-infotainment-VM.sh, ...), so I think you should be able to run it with default rootfs (I do not have setup to try it myself).

    Yordan

  • Thanks!

I was under the impression you needed to run jailbreak version so that two OSes can run.  Does the prebuilt version support this?

  • Hi Yining,

can you look at "ti-processor-sdk-linux-automotive-j7-evm-06_00_00_00/docs/linux/Examples_and_Demos_Application_Demos.html" for instructions how to run cockpit demo, also in chapter "4.1.1.5. Flashing instructions" in this document you can see how to flash emmc with the rootfs needed by jailhouse hypervisor.

Can you try this and let me know if it works for you?

    Regards,

    Yordan

  • Hi Yining,

I haven't heard back from you, I'm assuming you were able to resolve your issue.
If not, just post a reply below (or create a new thread if the thread has locked due to time-out).
