TMS320DM6441: How to identify 405 version or 513 version

Part Number: TMS320DM6441

Hi Team,

According to the datasheet, Figure 2-6, TMS320DM6441 has 2 variation depending on core voltage and frequency. But we can find only one option in TI.com, which doesn't have 405 and 513 suffix following its part number.

Which version will we get if we order TMS320DM6441AZWT on TI.com?
And could you tell me how to identify them?

Hi Takashi,

From what I am able to find and see, TMS320DM6441AZWT support 513MHz C64x and 256MHz ARM926, so should match TMS320DM6441AZWT513

From what I am able to find, all TMS320DM6441 parts support both 405 and 513 frequencies.

Sorry, it doesn't make sense for me about what you are saying.

Do you mean that, for example, TMS320DM6441AZWT doesn't have any variants depending on supportable frequency but it supports both frequencies?

Takashi,

From what I understand, -513 parts support up to 513 MHz frequency. Thus it support both 405 and 513 frequencies.

TMS320DM6441AZWT support both frequencies (see link below), thus it should be -513 part, TMS320DM6441AZWT513.

Hi Pavel-san,

Just One confirmation, My customer used TMS320DM6441AZWT405 before and they plan to reuse the circuit like power tree for next project.

there is no issue to drop in TMS320DM6441AZWT to the past design, right?

You need to make sure core voltage is 1.2V (not 1.05V), check DM6441 datasheet, CVdd and Vdda_1p1v.

They plan to use TMS320DM6441AZWT on 405MHz mode. Is it also necessary to change the voltage to 1.2V in this case?

No, it is not necessary.

If you are planning to use TMS320DM6441AZWT on 405MHz mode, you can use core voltage at 1.05V.
