TMDXSK437X: DDR3 data rate

DDR3 ratings are given in section 5.12.8.2.1 of the AM437x Datasheet Rev. E. Maximum DDR3 clock frequency for AM437x devices is 400MHz.

Thanks for the reply, I understand the typical DDR3 and AM437x interface rating is provided in 5.12.8.2.1 section of the datasheet. I am trying to  understand if the routing and layout of TMDXSK437X EVM board also has the same data rate compatibility? will the EVM board support the 24MHz to 400MHz without causing any stress and problem (signal integrity issue) on the data or address lines for the designed EVM layout?

Yes it will. The design has been verified by TI.

Do you have any particular test report document that states this particular  "TMDXSK437X: DDR3 Reference Design without VTT termination using AM437x" EVM board is tested for all the data rates, voltage and temperature conditions even without VTT termination? 

The address lines and clock not having any overshoot or undershoot issue in this design at fast and slow corners?

Hi Aditya,

The TMDXSK437X was designed as an evaluation platform for lab use. We did not design the board for extreme temperature or harsh environments.  A different platform was used to characterize the AM437 to ensure it operated across temperature and voltage for the data rates provided in the specification.

Looks like the  TMDXSK437X Eval board shall work for lower temperature range too even if it followed the T topology routing.
