DM3730: Updated FlashTool for AM35x, AM37x, DM37x and OMAP35x Devices?

Part Number: DM3730
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FLASHTOOL,

I am trying to find an updated FlashTool for the OMAP familty (AM35x, AM37x, DM37x and OMAP35x Devices) that works with 64-bit Windows. In this case 64-bit Windows 10 which requires 64-bit signed drivers to work. The existing Flash Tool on the device support page (v1.6) has not been updated in quite some time and trying to find a 32-bit Windows machine is becoming more and more difficult.

The specific device I'm trying to update is DM3730 device which is still in production.

As noted in an earlier E2E post (https://e2e.ti.com/support/legacy_forums/omap/f/447/t/213780

  • Apparently the rest of my post got lost.

The E2E post I mentioned said:

There is an alternative flash tool called OMAPFlash in which the CSST USB driver was replaced by a WinUSB based driver, so the application can run on Windows7 (32 and 64 bit) platforms. This tool is available on request through your local TI Representative.

I tried contacting TI and they suggested that I post my request here.

Can someone supply me a copy of this newer OMAPFlash tool that will work with 64-bitt Windows and hopefully has signed 64-bit drivers so it will function with Windows 10.

    Thanks,

  • Hi, David,

DM3730 is an old device. We do not have any collateral or resource beyond what you see on the product folder. You may search the E2E forum for archived posts of previous discussions which may help address your questions. For more info on DM3730 support, please see the FAQ in

  • Rex,

I realize the DM3730 is an old device but we have an existing solution that works fine, the part is still available,  and we have to support our existing customers.

I have seen the page you mention. However, I'm specifically referencing the Updated OMAP Flash tool that was mentioned in the post I referenced that said it was only available by contacting TI directly. I did that and they said to post here.

Are you saying that this tool is not available even by request any more?

I'm pretty sure this tool exists somewhere I'd just like to get my hands on it.

  • Hi David

Rex and I will assign this E2E to another colleague , who maybe able to give further guidance. If there is any internal repository outside of what is on ti.com, potentially our colleague will be able to guide you on it.
