I'm trying to get started with the camera evaluation kit. For starters, the SD card shipped with the kit was loaded with apparently wrong s/w, and the device would not boot at all, only showing "CCCCCC" on the debug port.I installed the IPNC RDK v 3.9.1 and loaded pre-built binaries onto a new SD-card. The board starts, however at certain stage it reboots on its own.

it is notable that UBOOT complains about CRC, and wl18xx gives an error. Any help on rectifying these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm... it is listed as active. What would you suggest for a new project? I need support for H264 or better H.265 encoding. Eventually I figured that the device browns out. It draws close to 1A. The supplied wire was rather thin and at max load the voltage at the connector was dropping to 4.7. I raised the voltage at power supply to 5.3V and that allowed the device to fully boot up.
