Hello,
we are looking for a suitable processor with a hardware H.264-decoder. We are building a system, that (among other tasks) captures video data in H.264-format. The video data is supposed to be transformed (sliced, rotated...) on a different processor with high performance (it should not affect the CPU of the host-PC).
These are the requirements for the processor:
- PCIe (for connection to host-PC)
- DMA (Data from host-PC needs to be fetched via direct memory access. Data fetching should be fast and not affect CPU.)
- Hardware H.264 Video Decoder
- low power, max. 3 Watt (thermal dissipation is critical in this system, should be as low as possible)
- ARM-processor or integrated graphics engine to perform image processing tasks
- Goal: process 4 FullHD-video-streams in parallel
After searching your catalogue, it seems that the OMAP3530 might suit our needs. Can you confirm this or suggest a suiting processor? The data transfer via DMA is crucial for us.
