DRA77P: vision SDK ipu modifications

Hi,

I am using vision SDK v3.07 and was looking to modify the ipu firmware so that i can use it to enable a gpio (without the usage of links and chains).

Where do i start for such modifications ? Do i need to use CCS or are there any other options to build xem4 in vision SDK ?

Hi Padmesh,

Well, it depends on where you want to do. Do you want to configure GPIO in the main or in the function where you are starting your chain.

You could do it, there is not restriction that it can be done only using links. You could have your API to configure GPIO and could call from any part of the code..

I would like to start configuring from a main function.

Which particular file do I necessarily need to edit inorder to access the gpio ?

I have referred a gpio toggle example. Where do I need to place this piece of code to get the functionality working ?

Hi Padmesh,

You could implement it in main function (main_common) in the file vision_sdk\links_fw\src\rtos\bios_app_common\tda3xx\ipu1_0\src\main_common_ipu1_0.c.
