Hi Patrick, you can use C66x DSPs from AM57x for general vision algorithms and EVE's cores (up to 4) for classification inference. Can this work for your use case? or can you explain us your application requirements?.

On the other hand, TIDL is not supported on DM's devices.

I have a ultrasound product based on DM8147 and was considering using DM505 as a spi connected co-processor, where the video in bus would be also routed to the DM505 for video analysis of reproductive structures in bovine. There were years = $$ in development of DM8147 code for ultrasound back-end so we do not want to start again with AM57x. Is there a simpler approach than the DM505 for a video analytic co-processor? - Patrick

Patrick, if the intend is running xNN models, then the answer is not.. At least for now, future roadmap will include more TIDL SoC some of them much simpler than current SoC. But as today AM57x9 (DSP/EVE) and Jacinto 7 (DSP/MMA) are the SoCs that support TIDL.

Paula, Just so I am clear, The DM505 cannot not run TIDL library's, correct? AM5729 type is required for TIDL.
