PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X: Device tree customization

i successfully builted u-boot nad kernel images but i identified the boot image is running suuceessfully in minicom but not displaying in lcd panel for my "custom board" so i need to edit dts file and compile it and paste that torootfs/boot so that sdk is compatable to my custom board. but in sdk/kernel source directory/arch/arm/boot/dts folder i can see .dts files in audio format so how can i edit or is there any other wat to create new device tree for my custom board if so how to create a new one?

please let me know regarding this..

Hello,

I believe this must be something specific to your computer setup. Can you try opening the files in VIM or some other text editor?

Yes I did it already now I used gp-evm.dts file and changed lcd parameters now it working fine..but I strucked at another problem i.e I created a dts.file with own name and compiled it and pasted that dtb file into rootfs/bootfolder but it already have previous dtbfile with gp-evm.dtb Know so how to replace that with mine or how to make kernel image to identify to use custom.dtb file not gp-evm.dtb & is it possible to have the dtb files with our own names and make it work to boot?

This is defined by the fdtfile environment variable in U-Boot. Please see this documentation for one way to modify it:
