DRA829V: OSPI access mode used in SDK with Micron OSPI Flash

Hi, Experts,

I initiate this post for my customer as the engineer has some difficulties to access E2E.

From the code in SDK, the DTR mode is enable in OSPI controller, and also Nonvolatile Configuration Register[00] is set to 0xE7 which is Octal DDR mode. It seems code in SDK access Micron OSPI in 8D-8D-8D mode.

Please help to confirm which mode is used access Micron OSPI on J7 EVM, 8D-8D-8D or 1S-1S-8S.

Hi Fan,

ROM works in 1S-1S-8S mode but SPL and Kernel works in 8D -8D-8D mode.

Note its the flash that needs to be put into 8D-8D-8D mode (along with the controller). Both SPL and Kernel sets OSPI flash to 8D-8D-8D mode using "volatile configuration register (VCR) 00" (not NVCR).
