TMS320C6678: DDR3 Clock minus Data Strobe Delay

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Hello,

I filled out the provided DDR3 PHY calculation spreadsheet and our results came back with cell G22 populated with a red (3). The spreadsheet mentions that if any values in column F rows 8 through 25 are shown in red then action should be taken. Should we be concerned with a red G22?

I have attached the spreadsheet for reference.

Thank you,

  • Brian,

The negative skew value in cell G22 is not a problem.  I see that the instruction referring to negative values in column F rows 8 through 25 should be updated to highlight column H rows 8 through 25.  A few columns were inserted in this portion of the sheet back during the update to Revision 9 and this instruction was not updated.  Using Invert Clock will provide the skew margins needed for the DDR3 leveling to complete successfully.
