AM4378: ntfs-kernel-server packages fetching failed - server not found

Part Number: AM4378

Hello everyone,

i recently installed tisdk4.02 in my laptop and tried to run setup file . but it is not happening smoothly as earlier it asking me for proper dependencies to be installed .  so i tried to install them but i found recently ntfs-kernel-server  packages  which version will get fetched while running setup file is showing that unable to fetch. i checked them in ubuntu archive and it seems to be that package is  removed from archive so now

1. can i go for other ntfs-kernel-server versions to run setup file ? if so any one tell me how?

2.in my old system i have those packages already installed can i copy those packages from that system to laptop if so how to do that?

3.and once if all the things if become is that enough for higher versions of sdk also or for higher versions we have to install another dependencies?

please some one help in this matter.

and here is how errors are message coming to me...some one suggest me proper solution or alternate for this.

Do you want to continue? [Y/n] y

  • Hello Anantha,

Ubuntu 12.2 and Linux Processor SDK 4.2 are both too old for us to support on the TI forums. TI engineers currently use Ubuntu 18.4 to create and test the SDKs.

    Regards,

    Nick

  • I am not using ubuntu12 version I am using Ubuntu 16.04.4version .is it also not support SDK higher versions (04.02,06.01) But It worked fine for me few days back in another system.

Recently I installed in laptop and tried to do all setup again then I got problem in this laptop.

But I am not getting what is reason for this. Is Ubuntu removed the libraries or  might be anything else
