AM5716: PET IO voltage

Part Number: AM5716

Hi Sitara support Team,

Regarding PET for AM571x, when VDDSHV1 of disabled modules changed from 3.3 V to 1.8 V,
the TTL Power dropped about 400 mW.
My customer  is unlikely to believe that the high leakage current is the cause,
so what is the reason for the 400 mW drop?

*VDDSHV1: 3.3V*

*VDDSHV1: 1.8V*

Best regards,
Kanae

  • Hi Kanae,

I tried recreating as much of the PET as what you have posted, but am not seeing the same 400mw delta when changing the VDDSHV1 IO voltage.  At most this is only changing power consumption 1-2mW.  Are you able to share the original spreadsheets so I can take a look?  I sent you a friend request so you may send these directly to my TI email address.

    Regards,
    Mike

  • Hi Mike,

    Thank you for your support.

I will send the spreadsheet by email.

    Best regards,
    Kanae

  • Hi Mike,

Please let me know when you can provide us with a fixed spreadsheet,
or let me know just a schedule to reply

Also, please let us know about the following additional questions.

    1. lowering the DDR Configuration Frequency from 666 MHz will increase power consumption.

Doesn't the power consumption go down when the clock is lowered?

2 Please tell me how the three conditions (max, idle and typ) that can be selected
in Profile from Use Case Input affect the power consumption.

    Best regards,
    kanae
