Hi.

Does AM4372 can support RS232?

if so, what external interface device is it requires? a simple MAX232?

Yes, the RS-232 standard is supported by the UART Peripheral of the AM437x. See details in snippet below from www.ti.com/.../am4372.pdf

The MAX232 (https://www.ti.com/product/MAX232swing by using internal charge pumps that generate the large positive and negative voltage supply requirements from a single positive supply.

This part could be used and TI offers a multitude of other RS-232 TX/RX products. Please see examples here: www.ti.com/.../products.html.
