Hi,

We are working on keystone 66AK2G12 processor, in present application we are trying to use EMAC for 100base/1000base Ethernet.

Is it possible to use EMAC without intervention of NAVSS?

Is there any method to communicate via EMAC (by Ethernet) without usage of NAVSS?

If it depends on how to use the EMAC, could you tell us the condition?

Hi,

It is driven by RTOS (TRON type) on ARM.

EMAC is connected by RGMII with PHY, 100base and 1000base, full-duplex.

What information do you need to judge?

From K2G TRM,  The EMAC streaming is via NAVSS. Let me check with local experts, if there is a possibility.

Just wanted to get some more info on this for my understanding.

Are you looking for possibilities on if you can send and receive packets without NAVSS? Can you please help me to understand why you do not want to use NAVSS?

we plan to ask third-party to design the Real time OS for ARM and Ethernet control.

Then, if usage of NAVSS is necessary, the man-hours(estimated expense) rises.

(if usage of NAVSS is not necessary, the cost will be reasonable.)
