TMS320C6678: Difference between TMDXEVM6678L , TMDXEVM6678LE and TMDXEVM6678LXE and Interfacing with each other.

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Hi,

I want to understand the difference between

TMDXEVM6678L, TMDXEVM6678LE and TMDXEVM6678LXE and can each EVM can interface with others with SRIO, PCIe and Hyperlink like

1.TMDXEVM6678L to TMDXEVM6678LE

2.TMDXEVM6678L to TMDXEVM6678LXE

3. TMDXEVM6678LE to TMDXEVM6678LXE

---so on

It will be a great help if someone can explain.

With regards,

Ganesh Singh

  • Hello,

I believe this kind of question was already asked and answered.

Nevertheless, 'X' labeled device has some security features, for which I know only they exist. As to 'L' vs 'LE', the former comes with XDS100 emulator only, while the latter also has XDS560 class emulator. The latter is better in emulation speed, tracing capability.

Other than pointed these modules are similar, so they should interface each other regardless of either of L, X, E marking.

    Hope this helps.
