Hi. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, if not please advise on that.
What I have:
I have a beaglebone black (2019-2020) booting T.I. sdklinux from sdcard:
> uname -a
> Linux am335x-evm 4.19.94-gbe5389fd85 #1 PREEMPT Sun Apr 19 03:43:09 UTC 2020 armv7l GNU/Linux
when it boots, it prompts for 'root' by default, no password required.
Our goal:
--> long run is we are exploring using the AM335x platform for our embedded Linux network and communications server in our equipment.
What I need:
--> to disable that boot-login prompt and jump straight into the admin shell to further launch some programs in demo to some sales folks who are not at all Linux-types.
I'm fairly well experienced with Linux, but of course that's mostly "desktop class" and the embedded side, between OE provided executables in sdklinux alongside busybox links, is a significantly different beast.
thanks,
