Hi Team,

Linux Version : 4.4

We want to know by default whether promiscuous mode is enabled on Ethernet(DRA74X processor) ? How to verify whether its enabled or not ? How to enable/disable promiscuous mode on Ethernet ?

Hi,

ifconfig command output should show weather promiscuous mode is enabled or not. If enabled the ifconfig output will show PROMISC

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr A0:F6:FD:A1:E7:BA
BROADCAST PROMISC MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1

# To enable promiscuous mode
ifconfig eth0 promisc

# To disable promiscuous mode
ifconfig eth0 -promisc
