TDA3LX: lowering the speed of mflash

Hi Expert,
I'm running TI-RTOS Vision SDK v03.04 in the custom board with TDA3x.

Ref: \PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_04_00_00\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_10_00_08\packages\ti\boot\sbl_auto\tools\mflash
Because of my USB-to-serial converter Baud rates: 300 bps to 1 Mbps.
Try to reduce the 12M of mflash.exe to less than 1M.
In addition to modifying mflash_uart.c
Should sbl_mflash_tda3xx also be modified, where?

Could you please give some suggestion here?

Hi,

The UART baud rate changes can be seen only in the 3 files.

mflash_uart.c &

First, try to modify only in the mflash_uart.c file & test, if it is not working then do changes in other 2 file & try again

Why is the 115200 modified?
My demand is reduce the 12M of mflash.exe to less than 1M.

Are you trying to reduce the file size of mflash.exe from 12 MB to 1MB.?

Hi,

I tried to modify only mflash_uart.c.
Originally 12M is working normally, if try to modify flash.exe to 11~1M, it will get stuck in [PC] Opening serial port successful.

As I asked at the beginning,

In addition to modifying mflash_uart.c
Should sbl_mflash_tda3xx also be modified, where?

Hi,

Modify the mflash_uart.c file then rebuild this application using the GCC tools installed in the system. Now you will get the updated mflash.exe tool
Modify the /ti_components/drivers/pdk_01_10_00_08/packages/ti/boot/sbl_auto/sbl_app/src/mflash/sbl_tda2xx_mflash_main.c source file then rebuild the SBL (Refer the mflash user-guide to know about the sbl build)
Now run the batch file script "sbl_mflash_create.bat" from the terminal to get an updated sbl_mflash_tda3xx binary

But I still don’t get the answer. How to reduce 12M to 1M in sbl_tda2xx_mflash_main.c.
I only see that BAUD_RATE_115200.
