[FAQ] TDA4VM: TSN supporting for the MAC ports of CPSW9G in TDA4VM

Hello:

From the datasheets,we know that CPSW9G supports TSN function.But we could not determine which MAC ports support TSN.Please porvide some detailed information.

In addtion,we find that the datasheet(J721E DRA829_TDA4VM_AM752x Processors Silicon Revision 1.0.pdf, 15556 pages) does not contain any detailed description about ethernet switch.May I get a detailed datasheet?

Hi,

Unfortunately CPSW 9G driver only supports PTP at the moment. Other TSN features are not supported in software.

The PTP example is built into the Ethernet FW binary. For details, refer to this document

There is no separate datasheet for CPSW9G, the developer guide is here, which shows how to develop applications using this IP and how to integrate different PHY's. The user guide for Ethernet FW is provided here

Yes, support is missing in Software right now.

Hi Yannik,

Sorry for the delay.

TSN support for CPSW 9G for Time aware scheduling (802.1Qbv) and Express Traffic (802.1Qbu) is planned in April 2022.
