CCSTUDIO: offers a code generator plugin?

Part Number: CCSTUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, HALCOGEN

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Does the latest version of CCS offers code generator plugin?

Any documents that we can refer to regarding this?

Thanks!

  • Art,

Could you be a little more specific in what you are looking for?  There are lots of things that fit the category of code generator such as driver initialization code generation, block diagram application code generation, test vector generation...

Also what device are you (or your customer) using?

SysConfig is a tool that is available as part of Code Composer Studio.  For the SimpleLink family of devices with SysConfig you can configure drivers, software stacks... and generate the appropriate initialization and pin muxing code.  There is more information here: https://www.ti.com/tool/SYSCONFIG

    Regards,
    John

  • Thanks for looking into this John!

Will SYSCONFIG be available in the near future with automotive MCU (TMS570)?

Also, I don't know if you are the right person to ask but will PINMUXTOOL support automotive MCU?

    Thanks!

  • Art,

SysConfig is essentially an evolution of the PinMux tool.  I am not aware of any plans for TMS570 support.  I will loop in the team that supports 570 to comment.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hello Art,

PinMux tool doesn't support Hercules devices (TMS570, and RMx). HALCOGen tool can be used to configure the pin muxing and generate hardware abstraction layer device drivers.

This is the link for HALCOGen download. www.ti.com/.../HALCOGEN
