How to reduce power consumption?

Hi,

In my configuration,I just config ptrLowPowerMode->lpAdcMode = LP_ADC_MODE_LOW_POWER; but I found in my 1843 device,the power up to 4.8w.When the wave start,the max cunrrent is 570mA,and what is more,in profile configuration ,I set tx_power_backoff_code = TX_POWER_BACKOFF_0DB，rx_gain_val = 52 | (1 << 6), /* VGA 52dB, Target Gain 34dB*/

What else can i do to reduce the power consumption?

but the peak value of current is over 500mA,it is so high,isnt it?Is there any power save mode or low power mode?Thanks

Hello,

Yes, you can use the Low power mode (half rate ADC mode), but this puts a limitation on the usable IF bandwidth. Please refer to the mmWave Interface Control document for more details on that.

And as I have mentioned in my previous post, Power is mostly consumed by the device in Active chirping mode. So basically, if you reduce the chirp duty cycle (ratio of active framing and total frame period), that will help in ultimately reducing the average device power.
