AFE7444EVM: AFE7444EVM KCU105 example design

Part Number: AFE7444EVM

Hi everyone,

I'm testing the example design provided by TI for the AFE7444EVM for KCU105.

I followed step by step the information reported on the pdf of the example design guide "KCU105 AFE74XX XCVR 2x44210 JESD REFERENCE DESIGN USER GUIDE".

I have configured the AFE7444EVM in the following way:

After programming the KCU105, by connecting the spectrum analyzer on the output channels B, C and D it is possible to display the RF wave at 1.71 GHz correctly.

In the channel A, otherwise there is not RF signal. What's the reason?

  • Hi Andrea,

As other DAC channels except A are sending expected output, this is unlikely an JESD link issue. But you can try clicking the button below DAC in GUI (highlighted below) to re-initiate DAC JESD link.

To verify analog path, you can enable constant data from TxA, This should send out a single tone at NCO frequency even when JESD link is not established.

    Regards,

    Vijay
