AFE7950EVM: Polarity on RXB, RXC, TXB and TXC

Part Number: AFE7950EVM

Is there any reason why the polarity of RXB, RXC, TXB and TXC is inverted with respect to RXA, RXD, TXA and TXD?

And some passive components' values are different from each other path. Just for test? or is there any reason?

Best regards,

  • Hi Yoonsun,

The reason for the polarity inversions is that some of the pins are inverted in order to ease routing on the AFE substrate. If you look at the Pin Configuration and Functions section of the datasheet you can see that the pins are inverted for some of the channels.

The reason that the component values are different for some channels is that the matching circuit needed to tuned slightly because of the different trace lengths on the AFE substrate.
