AFE7950: DSA Gain and Phase Error Calibration

Part Number: AFE7950

Hi,

According to datasheet 8.3.12, calibration data for 4 RX is about 1000 bytes and for 4 TX is about 800 bytes.

Can I know the calibration sequence, what kind of data will be saved to calibration tables, and how to compensate the gain/phase errors of DSA steps?

Best Regards,

  • Hi Yoonsum,

Inside the Application Notes section of AFE79xx folder there are documents that cover the DSA calibration. There are DSA calibration procedure documents for both the Rx and Tx channels. Also, the AFE79xx Configuration Guide also goes over the DSA calibration sequence.

When the calibration is done a calibration packet is created and this packet can be uploaded to the AFE to compensate for the gain/phase errors of the DSA steps.

    Regards,
