AFE7769: maximum frequency offset of REFIN

Part Number: AFE7769

Hi Team,

As the tittle, what's the requirements for the frequency accuracy of the REFIN?

BR

Adrian

  • Hello Adrian,

The maximum input reference clock to the AFE7769 should be within 500MHz. This is to support maximum of 500MHz PFD for the PLLs for the LO and also the data converter PLL

The accuracy of the REFIN should be back-calculated by the frequency error requirement of the LO PLL in the customer system. For example, if the LO required in customer system is 3500MHz with certain % accuracy in the radio system, then the REFIN requirement will be the % accuracy in the radio system divided by 7, as the PLL is multiplying the reference clock of 500MHz by 7 to get the 3500MHz
