AFE7444EVM: AFE74xx Register Set Technical Reference Manual;AFE7422 and AFE7444 Programmer's Guide

Part Number: AFE7444EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE7444, AFE7422

Hi  TI support,

I am initializing 7444 according to the AFE7422 and AFE7444 Programmer's Guide and AFE74xx Register Set Technical Reference Manual, and I do not understand what direction control means in the description of register 195h on page 361 of the AFE74xx Register Set Technical Reference Manual.

Thank you.

  • Hi Wanrui,

In the AFE7444 you can define if certain GPIO pins are inputs or outputs. This is done by setting the direction of the GPIO pin in the register settings. If a pin should be an input and is expected to receive a signal it should be set as an input in the register. Otherwise if the AFE is expecting to output something on the GPIO it should be set as an output in the GPIO.

    Regards,

    David Chaparro
