I have a question regarding the ADC input DSA control in the AFE.
The datasheet specifies a 25 dB range with 0.5 dB steps, but when I attempt to adjust the gain by 10 dB, the actual attenuation is only about 8 dB. Similarly, when I attempt a 25 dB adjustment, the effective attenuation appears to be less than 20 dB. I need to achieve at least 20 dB of attenuation, but even when applying the full 25 dB setting, the actual attenuation falls short of 20 dB. I believe this needs to be checked with TI to better understand the cause.
Is there a reason for this discrepancy? Are there any internal gain stages, calibration requirements, or measurement conditions I should consider?
