Need help with TRF37D73EVM RF Gain Block Amplifier

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF7960A, TRF37D73

Hi eweryone.

I would like buy the TRF37D73 Evaluation Module and connect to TRF7960A Evaluation Module (SMA connector).

So my questions:

1) If TRF7960A Evaluation Module have transmitting power 200 mW + TRF37D73 Evaluation Module have gain 20dB = what power can get on Out (Watt)?

2) If connected two TRF37D73 Evaluation Module successively, on OUT can get gain 40 dB (20dB + 20dB), or something else?

Thanks for any answers.

The P1dB of the 'D73 is 16.5 dBm so that device is not a good candidate to put after the TRF7960A that is already at 23 dBm (200 mW).  As a general rule, the P1dB parameter tells you the maximum power capability of the device.  The gain of multiple devices can be cascaded, but maximum power is still limited by the P1dB parameter.

If you are looking for output power that is over 1W (30 dBm) then I am not aware of a TI amplifier that is capable of that power level.
