FPGA reference design of DSW6011

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF371135EVM, TRF371135

Hi,

I have purchased the TRF371135EVM board for direct demodulation. After search i found that Ti is having TSW6011EVM with Altera FPGA for IQ corection.

I wanted to know that can i download the FPGA reference design for IQ corection. so that i can use it with TRF371135.

Not exactly.  The FPGA code is proprietary.  You can order the TSW6011 EVM reference design which will allow you to fully evaluate the TRF3711 and the IQ correction algorithm.

You may also discuss your business opportunity with your local TI sales to determine the best solution for your situation.

  • Hi RJH,

If it is proprietary what is the Part no of IQ corection FPGA IP?

For customers interested in the correction algorithm we include an adder to the cost of the TRF3711 chip which gives you the license to utilize the algorithm/code.  If you need more information on the cost structure then please interface with your local TI sales team.  The TSW6011 provides a platform for you to evaluate the performance of the TRF3711 with the IQ correction algorithm.

  • I understand that it is propritary but as i have purchased the EVM for TRF371135 ti should provide the IQ corection FPGA block for evaluation of TRF371135. even if it is encripted version. I am using Altera FPGA. and stuck in how to do IQ corection after downconversion using TRF371135

I think the proper course of action is to 1st evaluate the TSW6011. This will allow you to characterize performance of the TRF3711 with the correction algorithm with your own modulated signals and frequencies. If you are interested in pursuing further then we can investigate a way to provide the IP for your FPGA platform for that level of evaluation.

Since you have already purchased the TRF3711 EVM you may not be able/willing to purchase an additional reference design. I understand. Let's take this topic off-forum as it is not technical. Please interface with your local TI sales associate and discuss your needs. We can work with your local sales team to provide a satisfactory evaluation plan for you.
