Hi TI team,

Greetings for the day.

I am working on AFE7444 TRx chip. While doing frequency hopping i would like to vary AFE7444 LO with 1Hz step size. Can AFE7444 support 1Hz step size? If no, what will be the minimum step size it will support.

    Sreehari:

    No, not quite.  The AFE74xx has a 32-bit NCO.  The exact step size is dependent on the data converter sampling clock.  The mini resolution is: Fclk / 2^32.

    For example, a 3 GHz ADC clock will yield a step size of 3G/2^32 ~= 0.698 Hz.  The step size is below 1 Hz, but not exactly 1 Hz.
