Hi,

Would you tell us what the maximum input level at EXT_VCO pin of TRF372017?
We do not get this information in datasheet.

    Hi Derek

    I will need to check internally to see if we have detail. For now, I would keep the external VCO output power to the pin close to the internal VCO/LO drive output level. Datasheet specification section, page 7, has the LO power to be typical of 3dBm. Basically, all the internal buffers, will take the EXT_VCO and propagate to the modulators and the dividers. Therefore, it is important for the EXT_VCO to keep the same drive strength as the internal VCO.
