What exactly are the sentences of the “Programmable Phase Rotators in Transmit Path to Enable Beam Forming”and “The three transmit channels can be operated up to a maximum of two at a time (simultaneously) for transmit beamforming purpose as required; whereas the fur receive channels can all be operated simultaneously”in the AWR1843 datasheet for? Is it for beam scanning? Or for other purposes? What exactly is it used for? Is it for beam scanning? Or for other purposes?

Yes,

This feature allows to apply a specific phase for each chirp.In this way beam forming can be achieved.
