LMX8410L: Simulation model

Part Number: LMX8410L

Hi team,

Do we have a model (spice or other format) running on ADS for the LMX8410L?

Thanks for your support.

Pol

  • Hi Pol,

I believe that the IBIS model is still in progress. What kind of simulations would you like to run in ADS? For example IP3, S11, stability circle, optimal noise and so on?

    Regards,

    Hao

  • Hello Hao,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

Actually, we'd like to set the simulation at the point where we can visualize the RF envelope output of the component, depending on what signal / modulated signal we use as input.

An IBIS model should suit our needs, so if you have one, even in "beta" phase, don't hesitate to give me some news :)

  • Hi Hugo,

I have sent the beta version to Pol by email.

    Hao

  • Hi Hao,

Thanks for that ! Gonna test it.

    Hugo

  • Hi Hao,

I've been trying to install the Pspice library onto ADS. However, I get this error message :

It seems like the model you gave me has been created with an older version of ADS (2009 and before), and according to some forums there is no way to change it afterwards. Can you confirm that?

Thank you very much ! :)

    Hugo

  • Hi Hugo,

I checked the requests and correspondence on this model. It seems that the request for this model has been canceled because we have very limited traction and engagement on this, and we will not pursue the model at this time.

The modelling team also mentioned that they had little experience in RF IBIS model, so the current model is probably only reflecting some very basic specs such as gain and S11. I was able to open the "LMX8410L_wrk" in ADS but didn't find anything useful. So I'm afraid there's not much that I can do at this point.

    Regards,

    Hao

  • Hello Hao,

Thanks for your detailed answer. Neither was I able to find something useful in the LMX8410_wrk.

Anyway, I'm sure you've done your best and many thanks for that, as well as for your responsiveness.

If you have any news on that product don't hesitate and let me know.

    Have a good day !

    Hugo

  • Hi Hugo,

No problem. I'm closing this thread for now and I'll get back to you if there's any update. Have a good day to you too!

    Regards,

    Hao
