Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1642

iwr1642 Pin N6 Power up output low level, mean outputing error,What Can causes it?

  • Hello user5271296,

NERROR assertion could be due to multiple reasons, Predominately 1) Power supplies are not stable at the time of boot 2)Boot state of the device not correct 3) Clock to the chip could be incorrect 4) QSPI flash may not be compatible with boot loader 5) NReset release doesn't follow timing recommended in the datasheet. etc

Please refer to the below EVM checklist to verify 1) Schematic checklist 2) Layout checklist 3) Hardware bringup guidelines are followed.  https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swrr151

What are the differences in the schematic/Layout w.r.t to TI EVM?

You could refer to Technical Reference Manual (TRM) for understanding error reported by the NERROR pin with the help of Error Signal monitoring.

Below is the screenshot of the referenced document. For this you need to have JTAG pins need to be connected to the device and need to read the ESM status registers through CCS to exactly identify Error reported by the NERROR pin.

    Thanks and regards,
