AFE7444: ADC Analog Signal BW

Part Number: AFE7444

The part shows it can work from 10MHz-6GHz and signal BW:800MHz. how does this part work for 6GHz when signal BW is only 800MHz?

What limits the max input frequency of an ADC?

  • Hi Hasanbanu,

Analog bandwidth of DACs and ADCs is from 10MHz - 6 GHz. Digital input BW to DAC before interpolation and from ADC after decimation is limited to maximum of 800MHz. Digital NCOs can be used to tune the band center to required frequency. For more details, request for full datasheet at:

Input analog bandwidth limits the max ADC input frequency to 6GHz.
