Part Number: TSW40RF80EVM
Hi,
Customers evaluate this EVM for the inputs and outputs of 470 - 710MHz RF signals.Do I need to make any special changes to EVM to perform this evaluation?I saw this application note.www.tij.co.jp/.../slau706a.pdf
It looks like 1.9GHz signal input / output is possible. Correct?I think the result of DAC is "Figure 3. DAC Output Spectrum".Is the ADC result "Figure 4. Captured Output Tone"? (baseband signal after DDC?)
Please tell me if we can send and receive modulated / demodulated signals such as PSK and FSK at 470 - 710MHz.
And please let me know if there is another suitable EVM.
Regards,
Hiroshi
Hi Hiroshi,
The DAC38RF80 on the TSW40RF80 EVM is rated with minimum frequency of 500MHz. It should work well down to 470MHz.
The ADC32RF80 has input balun TC1-1-43x+ which has lower range of 650MHz. It should work also down to 470MHz, although the user may need to tune the input network/balun to lower range balun.
The EVM was tested with 1.9GHz input/outout
The transceiver EVM itself can support PSK and FSK. These patterns are generated at the baseband from the FPGA. The transceiver itself cannot generate these signals.
