Please help to provide the resolution of the internal ADC and DAC in AFE7920IABJ. The datasheet doesn't include this information.

    Hi Eric,

    We have NSD (noise spectral density) and NF (noise figure) specifications in the datasheet. The quantization noise contribution is below the thermal noise performance, and cannot be discussed here on the forum. Please ask the customer to contact the sales team so we can address their questions offline. Thank you.

    Hi Kang,

    Nice to get your feedback. But the question is not about noise, the question is about the resolution, how may bits is the ADC and DAC, like 18 bits, or 24 bits.

    If you also mean this cannot be discussed here. I would advice the customer to consult from sales. I may need your further confirm. Thanks.

    Hi Eric,

    Sorry, we prefer not to disclose this on the open forum. Please ask the customer to contact their local sales associate at TI to reach out. We would also like to understand the reason behind their need to know resolution. The resolution (number of bits) has little impact to the usage of this transceiver. Noise floor and noise figure play bigger role in this.
