TRF37B32: Using the mixer with 50 Ohm single ended output

Hello,

Any suggestion on how to convert the 200 Ohm differential output to 50 Ohm single ended? The schematic with differential output is here on page 6: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slwu088/slwu088.pdf

I have attached an image of what that looks like. Should I just short that highlighted transformer output to ground? Any suggestion on how to find a more integrated/smaller solution?

Hi Giovanni,

Since the transformer impedance ratio is 4:1, the impedance on the primary side is 50ohms whiles the impedance on the secondary (or the device side) is 200ohms. You can use the schematic as is without any changes to interface to 50ohms. Note that the transformer output you highlighted is already shorted to ground.

Thank you, my brain somehow assumed R12 was the DNI and the capacitor was populated. Meh.
