HDC1080: Response Time and Long Term Drift for temperature

Part Number: HDC1080

I would like to confirm response time and long term drift for temperature.

There are specifications for humidity but not for temperature.

In the case of the part of the competitor, there are  both specifications.

Could you please them for temperature?

Best regards,

Atsushi Yamauchi

  • Howdy Yamauchi-san,

Thank you for posting to e2e.  Regarding your post, can you give more clarification into your requests.

    - You've mentioned temperature response time, can you elaborate?

    - Are you requesting long term drift due to aging, or other drift specifications?

Can you provide the competitor part and specifications?  Also, may I ask the end application of the humidity sensor?

    Best Regards,

    Matt

  • Dear Matt-san,

    Thank you for your response.

We got the request from the customer.

They want to replace SHT21 by sensirion with HDC1080.

I think they can replace it because the specifications and the outline of HDC1080 is almost same to them of SHT21.

There are specifications for response time and long term drift of humidity and temperature in SHT21 datasheet.

So, they want to know them of HDC1080.

I have attached the datasheet of SHT21.

  • Howdy Yamauchi-san,

Thank you for the post and information regarding the inquiries.  I'll feed this information to the correct internal paths so that this information is published in future products and datasheet spins.  I'll additionally contact you through e2e message to follow up with any information.

    Best Regards,

  • Dear Matt san,

The customer want to the values. These values do not need to be published in the datasheet now.

Could you please provide response time and long term drift for temperature?

These values do not need to guarantee. It is no problem these values are actual values or estimation values.
They require them as soon as possible for their customer.

  • Howdy Yamauchi-san,

Thank you for your post.  As you've noted these values are not currently presented in the datasheet, but is something we intend to update in the future. I've replied through message with my email address so we can have a quicker exchanges.

    Best Regards,
