Why is the default value of Rp_MIN listed as 0x14 when Table 9. Register Settings for Rp_MIN shows the register setting values ranging from 0x20 to 0x3F?
This is confusing.

You are right. The register default value of Rp_min is invalid. This value must be changed from default during the initialization sequence.
After getting my first replys from my LDC1000 I read 0x40 from register 0 ( DeviceID ) however the datasheets says 0x80 is the default.
Is register 0 always fixed to 0x80? -> my SPI communication has to be fixed.
Hello Stefan,
register 0 of the LDC1000 should always read back 0x80. There has never been an LDC1000 device that reads back 0x40 from register 0.
Please verify that SPI communication is set up correctly, and compare with a different LDC1000 EVM if you have one is available.
