Hi,

i install xdctools_3_32_01_10 file it result into xdctools_3_32_01_22_core and xdctools_3_32_01_12_core. such case in setenv_tool.sh script used xdctools_3_32_01_12_core. is it acceptable ?? if not, what will be solutions??

Madan,

Please download and install the the version of the XDC tool(3.50.00.10 or later) mentioned in the MMWAVE-SDK RELEASE NOTES.

Different version of the tool is not being validated and may not work with the current version of the MMWAVE-SDK.

yes,
same one i installed XDCtools 3_50_00_10.
still i face issue while building on Ubuntu host machine as follows:
mistral@CPU688U:~/ti/mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05/packages/ti/demo/xwr16xx/mmw$ make all

Configuring RTSC packages...
xs --xdcpath="" xdc.tools.configuro -t ti.targets.arm.elf.R4F -p ti.platforms.cortexR:AWR16XX:false:200 -r release -c /home/mistral/ti/ccsv7/tools/compiler/ti-cgt-arm_16.9.1.LTS -o mss/mmw_configPkg_xwr16xx mss/mss_mmw.cfg
/bin/sh: 1: xs: not found
make: *** [mssDemoRTSC] Error 127

Madan,

I have only seen this error if the tools are not installed or if the path is not set right.

Please check if you have set the paths right.

If you have all the tools and setup the environment as mentioned in "setenv_tools.sh" (attached in the post) , there is no reason you will still have the build errors.

i have xdctools_3_50_00_12_core, for ubuntu when installed the packages(xdctools_3_50_00_10_core_linux.zip), its given xdctools_3_50_00_12_core and xdctools_3_50_00_22_core. so i preferred to use xdctools_3_50_00_12_core. is it correct?? or if strictly required xdctools_3_50_00_10_core then point me.

thanks for pointing.
it download extact tool which is required, but having same issue regarding compilations.

I am quite sure you do not set the path and the environment variables required for the build as mentioned in the

Your xdcpath seems to be empty(not set) .

Below is the build log that I have from my linux setup for your reference, the xdcpath is set right.

a0132210@uda0132210:~/mmwave-sdk/ti/mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05/packages/ti/demo/xwr16xx/mmw$ make all

xs --xdcpath="/home/a0132210/mmwave-sdk/ti/mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05/packages;/home/a0132210/mmwave-sdk/ti/bios_6_50_01_12/packages" xdc.tools.configuro -t ti.targets.arm.elf.R4F -p ti.platforms.cortexR:AWR16XX:false:200 -r release -c /home/a0132210/mmwave-sdk/ti/ccsv7/tools/compiler/ti-cgt-arm_16.9.1.LTS -o mss/mmw_configPkg_xwr16xx mss/mss_mmw.cfg

yes it is.

but via script we assigned the correct path and also debugged it , shows the correct path. but while compilation its shows empty. is it looking for specific file?? or any installation required to XDCtool which is missing?

i think this issue is something regarding to perl.

how u does perl setup on ubuntu, its fails

You can Google it out and find the way to setup Perl on Ubuntu.

If you are not familiar with Ubuntu, recommend to use Windows installer of the MMWAVE-SDK.
