IWR1443: The Measured distance of the Radar is Shorter Than the Actual Distance

I have a question is that I found the measured range by the Radar is shorter than the actual distance. I think the error is caused by the system handle time. Can you tell me the exactly reason about the error and how I can do to reduce the error?

Hello Fang,

The difference is usually caused by RF antenna mismatch. We provide a range bias compensation in mmw demo of SDK1.1. Unfortunately, it's not implemented in the 14xx high accuracy demo.

What you can do now is to setup a corner reflector or metal plate at known distance (1-2m) away. Measure that and get the range bias. Either manually subtract the bias or update high accuracy visualizer to show the correct value. Sorry about the inconvenience. We'll consider update that in future high accuracy lab release.
