problems of TSW1400&awr1443 DATA capture

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1443

Helloeveryone,I am Minrong from China. Recently I have some problems when I connect the three boards (TSW1400 EVM, xwr 1443 EVM and mmWave DevPack )to capture the radar data. Could you please help me and give me some advice to solve the problem ? Thank you very much.

MY PROBLEM:

 I followed the steps by ‘mmWave Sensor Raw Data Capture Using the TSW1400 Board’,all is right before the last step . The response on my computer matched the illustration when I install the software ,erase the EVM flash setup the hardware.The radar studio-->connection-->Device Status shows XWR 1243 instead of XWR 1443. The HSDC has no response  when I do the last step,capture the radar data.MY problem.docx

  • Hi Minrong ,

    Could you please open the output windows in Radar studio software and check which step report an error?
    View->output
    Thanks.

  • Hi Wesley:

    Thank you for your reply!

    I clicked the output and found that:

    1. It always shows timeout error when I click ‘set’ in static configuration;
    2. I use awr1443 EVM but it shows 1243,does it matter?
    3. Frame Config has not been populated.

    Looking forward for your reply,thanks!

    The I paste the output picture in a word.the output.docx

  • Hi Minrong ,

    It seems the radar device power-on failed. Could you please try it with a 5V2A or 5V3A adapter?
    And here's a guide video using old version mmWave Studio. The process are similar, you can follow this step manually. Then you can identify this issue.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Wesley

  • Hi Wesley,

    I have followed the direction step by step for several times. I used 5V 3A adapter to power the xwr 1443,5V 4A adapter to the TSW 1400. The ports was the same as the direction and the EVM flash erasing was successful .It always appears"Status: Failed, Error Type: RESP TIMEOUT" in the output when I click the 'set' button . Do you know why I can not set the status successfully?

    Thanks,

    Regards.

  • Hi Minrong,

    Could you please make sure your hardware connection is correct?

    Then, the driver is installed correctly on you PC.

    Thanks.
